But Of Course!!

Had a conversation with a dear pal.... and these are her pearls of wisdoms. GOSH! I must be blind! Why is it that such obviously clear facts are so opaque to me?

JM:

JM:

Me:

JM:

JM:

JM:

Ground Zero

Many nights of party and revelry have come to pass.
But all for naught for tears return when he lets me down.
I believed with all my fierce heart that I have numbed to everything. that nothing would hurt anymore.

But once again, I was wrong.

And as I bid a teary goodbye, his harsh words fail to leave. My mind, clogged, choked, stuttering, reeling in disbelief. My heart, the vicious letters spears. Stab after stab after stab....

I can only take shelter in fleeting glances of strangers. And more revelry. But all that shady, transcendent fun is naught compared to what we once held.

Once again, I break down and am forced to leave..... in tears.

Silje Nergaard- I Don't Wanna See You Cry

There is no tender way to say it's the end
And so win or lose
I am forced to choose
Between a lover and a loving friend
Let me hear you say
How you curse the day
You opened up your heart to me
That you ever invited me in
Tell me I'm the loser and you win

I don't want to see you cry
I beg you try
Not to let the pain
I'm causing reach your eyes
I don't want to see you cry
Aim your words like spears
Don't break me up by breaking down in tears

Hide your pain but when push comes to shove
Don't keep your pride
Locked deep inside
Rage against the dying of my love
Don't sigh my name
Give me all the blame
Call me heartless call me cruel
And accuse me of dealing in lies
Just don't let my leaving cloud your eyes

I don't want to see you cry
I beg you try
Not to let the pain I'm causing reach your eyes
I don't want to see you cry
Aim your words like spears
Don't break me up by breaking down in tears

Dreams come... dreams go
Some fade... some grow
Dream on, dream on
You've got no dream on
After I've gone

For the one in China...

Ok, I'm 'fessing up!!! I'm such a slacker!!!
That for my playwriting module assignment, which was to compose a poem, I simply condensed and converted the 1st entry of this blog into this:

La Turbulent Twenties

What is life,
Pray tell?

From halcyonic days of youth,
Thrust to adulthood by MANkind
Society’s knaves and fools.
Into this ocean of life,
Heaving.
Crashing.

Uncertainties.
Woes.
Death.
Heartbreak.

Like Peter Pan cheated into growing up
Brilliant childhood left behind
Shadows full of bitter regret

But all’s lost?
Not.
It’s the ocean,
Not the abyss

Abominable lows
Are accompanied by astounding highs
Sparks of life
That churns through waves of time.

And beyond that tough navigation
Lies an emerald isle

Of hope, redemption,
And a life that transcends time.

La turbulent twenties.
Embrace it.
Wave when fate blows.

This is for you, JP, in that freezing China. Thanks for liking it so much! I really love your rib and cow poems too! Don't let the cold freeze the socks off you! :)

Here's a lil science...

Received something in my mail today that totally got me going WTF???!!!!

For the sheer fact that it's so controversial to popular belief that magarine is tonnes healthier than butter. Check it out...

DO YOU KNOW...the difference between MARGARINE and BUTTER?

Both have the same amount of calories. Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams compared to 5 grams. Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study. Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.

Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few only because they are added! Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods. Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years.

And now, for Margarine..

Very high in trans fatty acids... Triple risk of coronary heart disease.

Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) Lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)...

Increases the risk of cancers by up to five fold...

Lowers quality of breast milk...
Decreases immune response...
Decreases insulin response.

HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING! (here are the most disturbing facts....)

Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC....... And margarine is initially BLACK, but it is DYED YELLOW to look like butter.

These facts alone were enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance)..

You can try this yourself: purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things: no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something) .. it does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value, nothing will grow on it...even those teeny weeny microorganisms will not find a home to grow.

Why? Because it is nearly plastic. Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

sheesh....

I'm going mad...

Read some blogs of some really self-obsessive exhibitionist freaks masquerading as female homo sapiens..... geez....

And surprise surprise!! I just took a leaf out their self-obsessive, narcissistic book and attempted to cook the same broth.

So here's CJ's masterpiece of her weekend, kudos to R too for his artistic photography.

Funny though, why my picture sizes are thus limited in size. Can't it go anymore bigger than this lil miserable punitive patch??? *bangs head*

Saint Patrick's Day

New song, old song, I'm not too sure....

One thing I'm sure of, it's totally my cup of tea now. Reflects my pensive mood in this rainy, pseudo-winter times in tropical SG. And of the impending holiday season, which will see me slogging my a*s off for final year project and partying myself silly with my dear friends.

But nowhere will my so and so, my special one be near me.

St. Patrick's Day- John Mayer

Here comes the cold
Break out the winter clothes
And find a love to call your own
You - enter you
Your cheeks a shade of pink
And the rest of you in powder blue

Who knows what will be
But I'll make you this guarantee

No way November will see our goodbye
When it comes to December it's obvious why
No one wants to be alone at Christmas time

In the dark, on the phone
You tell me the names of your brothers
And your favorite colors
I'm learning you
And when it snows again
We'll take a walk outside
And search the sky
Like children do I'll say to you

No way November will see our goodbye
When it comes to December it's obvious why
No one wants to be alone at Christmas time
And come January we're frozen inside
Making new resolutions a hundred times
February, won't you be my valentine?

And we'll both be safe 'til St. Patrick's Day

We should take a ride tonight around the town
and look around at all the beautiful houses
something in the way that blue lights on a black night
can make you feel more
everybody, it seems to me, just wants to be
just like you and me

No one wants to be alone at Christmas time
Come January we're frozen inside
Making new resolutions a hundred times
February, won't you be my valentine?

And if our always is all that we gave
And we someday take that away
I'll be alright if it was just 'til St. Patrick's Day

Such a beautiful poem just by itself. Tells of how fleeting modern romances are. How sweet and subtle the courtship at the beginning and how love will fly away within months.
Nov- they get together
Dec- they will still be together
Jan- they split up ergo the frozen insides and new resolutionsa hundred times
Feb- they get back just in time for Valentine's and that will last them thru to St Pat's Day on March 17th.

Beautiful but so cynical. Perfectly in line with my thoughts now. I've been safe for a year and it's been a good year. How long will I be safe for?
