It's an all expenses paid for trip BESIDES getting paid a sum for playing for a wedding gig. Mom's few hundred grands of investing in my music education didn't go to waste after all.
Just did the Zouk's 15th anniversary Cry*tal Ball performance and it was SO drop-dead cool! We were dressed up whimsically with hair and make-up done professionally.
Played the oh-so-boring Eine Kleine, but the DJ threw breakbeats along with it, then a rapper and opera singer joined in, then this bhangara drummer.... and boring Eine Kleine suddenly became the most happening piece on earth! *lol*
Met lotsa models, dancers, drags, show artistes, dressers, hair stylists, etc. The whole show's an amazing spectacle and I would love to have seen it but too bad performers can't really watch. But I have to say that this is the def ZE MOST amazing and COOLest show I've ever done in my life.
Silly cow me forgot to bring the most impt thing of all on such occasions- the digicam. And ergo, no pics. And the pic of us in ST Life doesn't include me, dammit.
Exams are finally over and life is just eat, sleep and play :)
I did everything under "play" category. For starters, there were the bimbo books and beauty mags, then the fine dining with mr D, then karaoke, then partying at MOS, then watched a play... and a movie... *ice age 2 sucks*
Even got hooked onto the Korean show DA CHANG JIN (Jewel in the Palace). The actresses are so naturally beautiful and they've such flawless complexions!
And can you believe that this girl's over 30?? She looks 18!!!Remembered when the K-wave first hit Singapore. There's this other serial she acted in called Fireworks and she looked like decades older there. How come she's aging backwards? Korean skincare must be light years ahead of for them to look this way man...

Now I'm not one inclined towards idol-worship of any sort. But recently has rediscovered the charms of this lad while mr D was crooning his songs. He can croon to melt any heart.... I mean the lad. To mr D's credit, mr D's almost there...
This dude's an ABC, plays piano and violin *swoon*, has a Master of Arts in Music, sings like an angel and LOOKS like one too. HE IS SO CUTE!!! *melts*
Found his looks familiar, but I can't put my finger on who he looks like but I was quite sure I knew someone who looked like him. And then EUREKA! I got it! He looks like Commando Bee!!! Rather the other way round, and commando bee ain't as cute as he, but it doesn't matter. Bottomline is they look alike.
Life is so amusing...
Or rather, the post-exams inimitable boredom has killed my sanity and I now find everything amusing :)
