Block-headed

This is SOO not my day! I'm having an incredible writer's block... not helped by the constant afternoon showers which only serve to dull my mood even further...

Lethargy becomes me these days. Wonder if it's the lack of dance. like HELL I MISS DANCING! BOOHOOHOO....... *bawls loudly*

Though my 10th Oct show is a simple dance show, I'm SO looking fwd to it. That and the 3 fridays of shows at a new pub. Details not out yet, but it's gonna be hiphop. COOL! Another hiphop joint to hit soon!

MOS's opening soon as well.. I hope it's gonna be good. Cos frankly, I'm getting pretty jaded with the clubbing scene here. After a while, all the music sound similar. And I always have gripes with every club. If the music's good, it's usually too crowded and smoky. If there's space to dance, usually the music ain't too good or that the crowd is wrong.

Geez it's all wrong.. I'm not sposed to be blogging but i can't write anything for my play with 5 persons. NO-thing comes out. Zilch....

See, I need to adapt a Children's storybook into a play, write a children's story titled "The Cow That Fell To Earth" and do a scene with 5 persons.

Tackling the last one first, we each had 5 pictures of humans cut out from magazines and we pasted them onto a mahjong paper and drew connections from character to character...

I've worked mine out pretty coolly.

There's a crown jewel on board the QE2, and after it are... an escape artist, a Moroccan duke, his consort, and a pretty sailor who's the consort's gigolo. Plus a drunken thug who says all the wrong stuff at the wrong moments.

Pretty cool idea and setting, but I can't for the life of me think of a situation to put them all in other than a boat party, which will be so BLAH....

here's the catch.... the scene needs to have a mini-climax spun into it...

So here I am, mulling over the blardy thing for a day....

The prof said the conceptualizing takes up 3/4 of the time. It better. I'm spending WAYY too much time on this crap.

While at it, here's a beautiful song that I recently fell in love with.... UNDER THE BLANKET OF BLUE by Stacey Kent.

Under A Blanket of Blue
Just you and I beneath the stars.
Wrapped in the arms of sweet romance
The night is ours.

Under A Blanket of Blue
Let me be thrilled by all your charms
Darling, I know my heart will dance
Within your arms.

A summer night's magic, enthralling me so.
The night would be tragic, if you weren't here to shareit my dear,
Covered with heaven above.

Let's dream a dream of love for two,
Wrapped in the arms of sweet romance,
Under A Blanket of Blue.

And I leave you with another quote...

"Fighting for peace is like Fucking for virginity.... " ^__^
