The Not-So-Turbulent Weekend

Time to sit down and recap a crazy weekend. Actually it's always been crazy... but too many pics, and too much to say. So let's just start here.

Watched the L*ADC show on Friday with so and so and twas awesome! Then went to say goodbye to dear Kat who's leaving SG for good..... Goodbye dear!

Met the dance scholars and chatted abit, then it was off for some good ole dancing at ONE @ Full*rton! Haven't really danced with some of these girls, esp. Kat and it was great fun despite having no crowd. But hey, all the better for us to dance! Even did jazz routines across the floor! :)

I miss the comfort and snuggli-ness of the scholar group. Their funny harmless chatter and comfortable companionship. Not like those high society parties i've been going to lately. Too much alcohol and too much sexual tension flying across the room!

Well, the 'sexual' tension came in the form of a group of poly boys who tried to pick us up, to no avail. I went "hey boy, you're in poly? do you have any idea how old I am???" MUAHAHAHA

When my dear girls went home, I popped by Makino's downstairs to join someone's birthday party. Met N and K and some acquaintances. Kinda cool, but didn't stay long. Preserving energy to dance and wow the liquid crowd on Sat.

Sat was the day of the long-awaited Mayday show! ThoughI don't exactly know their recent songs, I did like them well enough to be excited about their concert. After all, it's the 2nd pop concert I've gone to all my life!! *kinda 'sua ku' i know, but I'm a Classical girl! Always been to classical concerts, and who the hell pays hundreds of bucks to see a pop group?? I wouldn't*

Thanks to E and Ben-Q it's FREE! hurhurhur... and I had a RAWKING good time! And oooh, I so adore band guys!!! Especially the cute lead guitarist 'guai4 shou4' singer, 'ah xin'. His voice totally rocks and guys with sexy voices.... just totally bowls me over! All drummers are sexy too, by virtue of their cool rhythmic sense....

See those pretty boys on stage?? Gosh! And so much energy! Mayday's great because they've a variety of styles. They can sound real angsty, really sunshiny happy and hopeful, or really soulful in their slower ballads. And there was this one song with just one piano, acoustic guitar, drums and voice that was so beautiful...

Oh the power and universality of music!

Ended up paying shitloads for a cab ride from expo but oh well, I suppose it's worth it.

Next up was more kick-ass music at Liqu*d Ro*m with so and so and gang.... It's uber cool dancing. Found out the other girl, J was a Studio W* dancer! She's really good and we had loads of fun dancing!
So and so (let's call him mr D) was really quite an ass. He kept drinking and going to the loo... think he missed like half the dancing but well, that's his problem. But I felt sorry for his friend F who had to carry him...

But..... while alcohol's bad, it made him really crazy and sweet. Then again, I had to take all his words with a pinch of salt. See all their inebriated looks?? Mr D looks the most foolish!

And he was so sporting and totally GONE that during supper he gave me my fave expression: the tweety bird look! *rolls over laughing*

And I caught it, so here it is.... for public perusal. Mr D, GOTCHA!!!! Muahaha

All that said and done, Sunday was a fiasco. *read previous post* And that sums up my weekend. *smiles*
